Dear Friends,
I am the official Working Families Candidate for the New York State 87th Assembly District. I am running for the position of Assemblyman in Yonkers and Mount Vernon. I am fully aware that the Working Families Party is considered from a political standpoint to be a "minor party line," but since when does minor mean we do not count?
Ernest Boaten believes that the Working Families party is the “Real Party for working families”. He is sick and tired of seeing a cattle line of people or should we call it the Democrat “minority vote” which is used to get politicians elected.
Now, being new to politics he fully understands that his chances are slim to none in any poll (Gee sounds like someone with the last name OBAMA). Only good comes with change especially “Change that we can believe in”.
SO REGISTER TO VOTE!
The political revolution starts with you. Get involved, get registered and make a statement, then get out and vote for me NOV 4TH: ERNEST DARKO BOATEN NEW YORK STATE ASSEMBLYMAN DISTRICT 87 (MOUNT VERNON AND YONKERS).
Here is a glimpse of my platform:
Our campaign focuses on proposing a bill based on repealing the Rockefeller Drug Laws as they are racially biased, outdated and unfair. Our goal is to have first time offenders, depending on the amount and kind of drug conviction pay hefty fines and be put to work on a program based on allow users to improve the community as part of giving back to the community. This way it will give them a chance to work off their offenses and save the taxpayer money in two ways:
- When a current offender gets convicted, their record is not sealed and this destroys their chances of getting a real job and joining society as responsible citizens. It has become a dysfunctional cycle that does not benefit our community and taxpayers but only the private prisons which use the convicts for cheap labor as our tax dollars pay to hold the prisoners as well.
- We can use these offenders as labor, since we are having budget deficits all across the state, therefore manual labor jobs that are funded by taxpayers will benefit from the help. The money saved could be used for other community services.
